Ban Pan Security Zone Video Review Feature FAQ

Q: What is Ban Pan, and what is Video Review?

A: Video Review is a new feature of the updated Ban Pan security system. By reviewing videos suspected to contain cheating, players increase the pressure against cheaters and help maintain a clean gaming environment.

If a player's in-game behavior is suspicious, or if they are reported by other players, the system will generate a first-person video of the player. This player will be highlighted in a different color to help investigators in their judgment. The video will then be uploaded to the Ban Pan system and a video review sheet will be generated.Once this happens, qualified investigators will watch and judge the video. If the majority of investigators believe it contains cheating, the official team will conduct a second review of the video.Once the video has been confirmed to contain a violation, the offending player will receive the appropriate ban.

The review process is as follows:

Step 1: A player is reported/the system actively records a suspicious player.

Step 2: A battle replay video is generated from the suspicious player's perspective.

Step 3: The video is randomly distributed to multiple investigators.

Step 4: Investigators analyze the video.

Step 5: A majority confirm that the video contains a violation.

Step 6: The official team reviews the violation.

Step 7: The cheating player is penalized.

Q: Do I get anything for participating in Video Review?

A: As you review more cases and as your review accuracy increases, your investigator level will increase and you will get better investigator titles. At the same time, you will also receive rewards for completing review challenges.Rewards include:
1. BP (obtained by increasing your investigator level)
2. AG (obtained by gaining investigator titles)
3. Classic Coupons (obtained by completing weekly review challenges)

Q: How do I start reviewing?

A: First, you must become a qualified investigator.Investigators are the defenders of the PUBG MOBILE battlefield. As a result, the selection is extremely strict. To be selected, candidates must have a clean game record, a fair/just attitude, and the determination to maintain justice.Players can apply to become an investigator in the Security Zone, in the main menu. Specifically:

1. Tap "Ban" to enter the Security Zone.

2.In the Security Zone, tap "Video Review" to enter the review interface.

3.Tap "Start Review" in the middle of the "My Reviews" page to check if you are eligible.

Investigator recruitment will gradually open to eligible players. Players with multiple seasons of excellent tier placement, good behavior, and a history of accurate reports will be given priority.

Q: How do I know if I am qualified to be an investigator?

A: After tapping "Start Review", players who have not applied to become an investigator will receive a pop-up window. Tap "Apply" to send the request.

If the application is successful, the next time the applicant opens the game or enters the Video Review interface, they will receive a pop-up window informing them that they have been approved to be an investigator.Players can also tap "Start Review" on their "My Reviews" page to check whether their application has been approved. If applicants who have been approved tap "Start Review", they will enter the review page. While those who have not yet been approved will receive a prompt to apply again.

Q: I'm not eligible, but I still want to participate in Video Review. What should I do?

A: Don't be discouraged if you haven't been accepted yet. We have prepared the Review Tutorial feature in the main page of Security Zone for all players interested in helping maintain a fair game environment. In Review Tutorial, we describe common types of cheating, provide guidance regarding how to tell if someone is cheating, and provide tips after each drill.Players can regulate their in-game behavior, while actively reporting players who violate the rules. At the same time, they can use the Review Tutorial feature to improve their judgment and prepare to become real investigators in the future!

In the Video Review interface, find the Review Tutorial tab and begin the exercise:

Q: How can I tell if the player in the video is breaking the rules?

A: While watching the first-person recording, the investigator observes the player's behavior and decides whether the player is cheating. For those who are not clear about the different types of cheating and their characteristics, the Review Tutorial feature can help rookies grow into shrewd investigators. We recommend that players who have not experienced the Video Review feature complete the Review Tutorial first. The tutorial will improve your judgment and the results do not affect the player in the video.

To provide a smoother experience, videos for review will not include information such as doors or supplies. To help investigators make the right call, we've added some visual aids such as coloring different subjects.Figures highlighted red are opponents visible from the first-person view. Figures highlighted yellow are opponents not visible from the first-person view. Figures highlighted green are allies not visible from the first-person view.Players can use this information to help decide whether the player is cheating. There are three options that investigators can choose: Violation Found, No Violation, and Unsure. The investigator makes a decision based on the player's behavior, then submits their choice.

Q: Can I just randomly choose an option?

A: Of course not!To ensure that the Video Review system is operating fairly, in addition to their investigator level and accuracy, each investigator also has a hidden review weight. The higher the investigator's review weight, the more effect their decision will have on the final result.Investigators that make incorrect judgments will have their review weight greatly reduced.

Please pay close attention to the videos you review and use your authority carefully. If a player's review accuracy is too low, we will reduce their review weight until they are disqualified.

Q: How can I increase my review weight?

A: Review weights are calculated using multiple criteria. These criteria include the player's history of accurate reporting, highest tier reached, combat statistics, win rate, review history, review accuracy, time spent reviewing, accuracy of review cases, and more.

Since most review videos come from players' in-game reports, we encourage more players to report cheaters through the in-game report system. It increases your review weight and also contributes to creating a clean gaming environment!

We sincerely hope that many of you will join us as investigators. Together, we can prevent cheating and create a fair and just gaming environment!Ban Pan and we have been waiting for you!
